Corey Wallace grew up in the north suburbs of Chicago, IL and began composing jazz music as a member of the high school jazz ensemble.  At the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he studied classical composition while focusing his side efforts on film scoring.  In 2007, Corey was accepted to the NYU/ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop.  His film scoring studies continued in 2008 at the University of Southern California's prestigious Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television graduate program.  Since graduating in 2009, Corey works professionally in the field both as an assistant to other composers, primarily Christopher Young, and scoring independent shorts and features, with feature credits including BEHIND YOUR EYES, a psycho-thriller that won the 2011 Canada International Film Festival. Additionally, Corey participated in the selective ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop with Richard Bellis, a 4 week workshop in L.A. that culminated with a large orchestra recording session at Warner Bros.' Eastwood Scoring Stage.
